Why do we choose peristaltic pump for aseptic filling?

General metering charging methods for aseptic irrigation include time pressure method,piston pump charging and peristaltic pump charging.But with the popularization of biopharmaceutical and the maturity of disposable packaging material technology,the application of peristaltic pump is more and more applied to scale production.Piston pump consists of a number of mechanical components,and seals,plungers,pumps,valves and other products in contact.These components need to be cleaned and sterilized before assembly and use.

Compared with the piston pump,the difference of peristaltic pump is:compared with the pump with the same rotor diameter,there will be a pump with a larger"pillow"volume,and the fluid volume transported by the rotor in each circle is also larger,but the pulsation degree is also larger.This is similar to what happened with the valve.Pumps that produce a small"pillow"volume also deliver a small volume of fluid with each turn of the rotor.Moreover,the rapid,continuous formation of small"pillows"allows fluid to flow relatively smoothly.This is similar to the way gear pumps work.

Peristaltic pumps can provide a wide charging range of 0.1 ml to 500 ml.Of course,this depends on the hose diameter.When changing charge,there is no need to purchase and stock pumps compatible with other load capacity,only need to replace the appropriate diameter hose.

There is a gap between the piston and the pump body of the piston pump,and Shear force generated when the piston pump compresses the high-speed flow fluid through the small aperture path may have a potential impact on some Shear force sensitive biological products.The product viscosity is high,the piston pump in the piston extrusion liquid,the inner cavity is easy to produce large pressure,micro charging,this pressure is easy to affect the charging accuracy,compared with the peristaltic pump,the charging pressure is relatively low.

When some products react to metal parts,the charging kit composed of packaging materials without metal parts also avoids contact between liquid medicine and metal.Of course,the hose has a great influence on the overall performance of peristaltic pump,and the uniform thickness of soft pipe wall,durability"fatigue"or material"memory"are important reference factors that need to be paid attention to when choosing.
