When the micro peristaltic pump stops,it is usually hoped that the liquid in the pipeline will immediately stop flowing along with the stop of the pump,but contrary to what you want,it is often found that the liquid in the pipeline will slowly drip down,until the liquid in the sagging pipe drops out before stopping flowing.This is a big problem when using peristaltic pumps as quantitative tools.How does this drip happen?


This is a normal phenomenon of liquid flow,the main reason is because of the liquid at work is full of prolapse in the export pipeline,but when the pump stop,export pipeline in the liquid because of its own gravity and ductility,will follow the export natural drip edge,until all the liquid drip off the droop line will stop.


In addition to the liquid weight dripping,peristaltic pump will produce siphonage phenomenon?The answer is no.Because of the working reasons of the peristaltic pump,the runner needs to completely press the pump tube during the working process of the peristaltic pump,so that negative pressure can be generated at the inlet and outlet end and positive pressure can be generated at the outlet end.Therefore,when the peristaltic pump stops running,the inlet and outlet are completely shut off.Therefore,although the outlet pipeline is sagging,the whole peristaltic pump hose will not produce siphon phenomenon.


Fluid in the pipeline because of its own gravity will fall,but the liquid due to full of line,since only one end of the line and the atmosphere are interlinked,the other end of the peristaltic pump wheel crushed with the atmosphere,the liquid in the pipe can produce a tension,but because of the tension is unable to overcome the gravity of the liquid,so the liquid will drip.

Knowing that the tension of the liquid in the pipeline is too small,is there any way to expand the tension to overcome gravity?Of course,it can.By reducing the diameter of the outlet of the pipeline,it can easily increase the tension of the liquid in the pipeline,so as to solve the phenomenon of liquid dripping.Of course,in addition to this simple method,you can also increase the one-way pressure valve at the outlet to solve the dripping phenomenon,when the pump works by the pressure generated by the pump itself will open the one-way valve,when the pump stops the pressure disappears the one-way valve automatically closed.


Problems need attention in the practical work:as the peristaltic pump pulse phenomena exist in the process of running,liquid transportation,i.e.peristaltic pump will be reduced in the liquid flow in the pipe due to pulse suddenly formed the smoke and back to the suction phenomenon,so we set the export of small diameter pipeline length must be more than the length of the peristaltic pump to suck.Because if the small diameter is set too small,the liquid outlet liquid level in the pipeline does not stay in the small diameter pipeline because of pumping back,the larger tension of the liquid is not formed,and it will not play the role of dripping prevention naturally.


Tension drip-proof liquid itself also has its limitations,because the liquid itself would evaporate with time extension,so if you need liquid drip-proof longer,perhaps with evaporation,drip-proof will failure,so if your system will often appear after a period of time to a longer downtime,then finished totally enclosed check valve system solution.
