Industrial peristaltic pump hose as peristaltic pump consumable,in use may encounter all kinds of damage,under normal circumstances 100 RPM pump speed to transport normal temperature liquid,silicone tube life can reach 200-400 hours,A-60-F pump tube can reach 2000-10000 hours.However,in the use process,because the industrial peristaltic pump hose is not correctly installed,or the liquid is corrosive to a certain extent,it will cause premature wear and abnormal wear of the peristaltic pump hose.


So what is the cause of all this damage?What are some ways to solve these problems?


First,see the damage reason of peristaltic pump pipe from the damage crack


Damaged peristaltic pump hose that appears to be a sharp cut like a knife cut is usually cut by the runner and flange edge of the peristaltic pump head.The reason for this kind of damage is usually because the hose in the pump head is too long.When the peristaltic pump head is running,the hose moves in the pump head and touches the flange edge of the runner.The flange edge keeps rubbing and cutting the hose.The process of damage can be very rapid,usually in about ten minutes will be completely broken.


With the failure of the pump line,you will also see a lot of hose residue in the pump.Solution:when installing the card pump tube,we must ensure that the pump tube in the pump head is straightened,and there will not be too many hoses buried in the pump head.At the same time,a special plastic clamp is clamped on the inlet and outlet of the hose pump near the clamping pipe of the pump head to prevent the peristaltic pump hose from being loose and out of position during operation.


Two,from the shape of damaged hose to see the cause of damage


The hose is completely flattened and has no rebound ability.The wall thickness of the soft pipe becomes thinner and the surface is severely worn.This phenomenon is usually caused by the runner stuck,peristaltic pump pressure block contact pump tube surface and impurities on the runner caused by high speed.After the runner of the peristaltic pump head is stuck,the runner of the peristaltic pump will directly scrape over the peristaltic pump hose,which will increase the friction on the surface of the hose,causing the temperature of the surface of the hose to rise very high and wear the surface of the hose.Excessive temperature will also make the hose lose its elasticity.


In extreme cases,the temperature exceeds 140 degrees and may even cause the hose to melt and deform.Solution:pay attention to check whether the operation of the peristaltic pump head runner is flexible;Pay attention to cleaning pump head pressure tube surface;Properly reduce the peristaltic pump speed.


Three,from the damaged peristaltic pump hose size and shape to see the cause of damage


Industrial peristaltic pump hoses may carry different liquids,some of which will corrodes and dissolve some of the hoses.If you see the peristaltic pump hose brittle,hard,loss of elasticity,discoloration,swelling,damage and other phenomena,then it is usually because the hose can not transport this liquid caused.


Solution:find the hose material will not be their own liquid corrosion,there are many kinds of material pump tube can be selected,can provide most of the liquid chemical compatibility experimental reference data,provide detailed chemical compatibility table for reference,help accurate choice of hose.You can also take some samples of the hose and do a soaking test to make sure the hose is not corroded by the liquid.
