Working principle and superiority of peristaltic pump

Peristaltic pump consists of three parts:driver,pump head and hose.The fluid is isolated in the pump tube,the pump tube can be replaced quickly,the fluid can be retrograde,dry operation,low maintenance costs,constitute the main competitive advantages of peristaltic pump.A peristaltic pump works like squeezing a fluid-filled hose between your fingers.The fluid moves forward as you slide your finger forward.Peristaltic pumps work the same way but with rollers instead of fingers.

The fluid is pumped by alternately squeezing and releasing the flexible delivery hose of the pump,like squeezing the hose between two fingers.As the fingers move,negative pressure forms inside the tube and the fluid flows.Peristaltic pump is a"pillow"shaped fluid formed in a pump tube between two rotating rollers.The volume of the"pillow"depends on the inner diameter of the pump tube and the geometry of the rotor.

The flow rate depends on the product of three parameters:the speed of the pump head and the size of the"pillows"and the number of"pillows"produced by the rotor per revolution.The size of the"pillow"is generally constant,except when a particularly viscous fluid is pumped.Compared with pumps with the same rotor diameter,a pump with a larger"pillow"volume has a larger volume of fluid transported by its rotor per revolution,but the pulsation degree is also larger.This is similar to the situation of membrane valves.

Pumps with smaller"pillow"volumes also carry smaller volumes of fluid per turn of the rotor.The small"pillow"formed quickly and continuously makes the fluid flow more stable.This is similar to the way gear pumps work.With bidirectional equivalent flow transmission capacity;No liquid empty operation will not cause damage to any parts of the pump,can produce up to 98%vacuum degree.

There are no valves,mechanical seals,and packing seals,which can cause leaks and maintenance.It can easily transport solid,liquid or gas-liquid mixed phase fluid,allowing the solid diameter contained in the fluid to reach 40%of the inner diameter of the tube element;Can transport a variety of grinding,corrosion,oxygen sensitive characteristics of the material and a variety of food;Only the hoses need to be replaced,and the replacement operation is very simple.The product is not in contact with any part except hose.
